As a Concrete Laborer, you will play a crucial role in the construction and maintenance of concrete/asphalt pavements.
Your responsibilities will include assisting with the preparation, pouring, finishing, and repair of concrete surfaces, ensuring the quality and durability of the finished product.
This physically demanding role requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Responsibilities:
Assist in the preparation of work sites by setting up necessary equipment.
Mix, pour, and spread concrete according to specifications and project requirements.
Use a variety of tools, such as trowels, floats, and edgers, to finish and shape concrete surfaces.
Operate power tools and equipment to cut, grind, and smooth concrete.
Assist with the installation of reinforcing materials like rebar and wire mesh.
Perform tasks such as patching, repairing, and resurfacing existing concrete structures.
Follow safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and your team members.
Clean and maintain tools, equipment, and work areas before, during, and after each project.
Collaborate with team members, including concrete finishers, supervisors, and other laborers, to complete projects on schedule.
Adhere to project specifications, blueprints, and instructions from supervisors.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Prior experience in concrete work, construction, or a related field is preferred.
Ability to lift heavy materials and perform physically demanding tasks consistently.
Basic knowledge of concrete mixing, pouring, and finishing techniques.
Familiarity with construction tools and equipment used in concrete work.
Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions accurately.
Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
Physical stamina and endurance to perform tasks that require bending, kneeling, lifting, and standing for extended periods.
