College Student - Engineer - Electrical CAD Design for Power Electronics

BorgWarner PowerDrive Systems is currently looking for "dynamic, results driven" individual to join as a Junior Designer, Electrical CAD for the Power Electronics group at our Indiana Technical Center in Noblesville, Indiana (NTC). This is a year round assignment and will need to be located in Indiana and able to work 40 hours a week in the summer and between 25-40 hours a week during the school year. This position is not available for sponsorship.
In this role, and under direct supervision of the Sr. Engineering Manager, Power Electronics the Jr. Designer, Electrical CAD will be primarily responsible for the Mentor Graphics librarian role for BorgWarner's power electronics components. The Jr. Designer, Electrical CAD will insure BorgWarner's electronics components are properly designed to meet BorgWarner's, industry, and manufacturability requirements.
Key Accountabilities:
Perform duties of the BorgWarner global librarian using Mentor Graphics
Development of detailed electrical components information used for design layout to BorgWarner librarian design guidelines and electrical/mechanical constraints
Work with the BorgWarner engineers to ensure efficient creation of electrical components library information.
Support BorgWarner product development/production teams
Assist in establishing best techniques/procedures and apply these for electronic parts
Generate electronic parts information for release library
Experience with Microsoft Office tools: Excel, Word and Power Point.
Education & Experience:
High School graduate or GED equivalent
Must be enrolled in enrolled in Indiana college institution working towards 4 year degree in a field of engineering.
Preference will be given to students enrolled in a university pursuing a degree in Electrical Engineering Technology or dual degree in Electrical Engineering Technology & Mechanical/Mechatronics Engineering Technology.
Minimum of 1 year electronics trade school or demonstrated knowledge
Minimum 1 year of experience required in some combination of the following areas:
Electronic circuits
Mechanical design
Circuit board design
CAD experience preferred
Excellent oral and written communication skills

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
