About Pendleton Correctional Facility:
The Pendleton Correctional Facility is a level three maximum security adult male facility located in Pendleton, Indiana, on State Road 67 approximately 25 miles northeast of Indianapolis. The facility property consists of approximately 500 acres, 33 acres of which are located within the perimeter of the wall. The facility also operates a minimum-security dormitory located adjacent to the walled facility.
Correctional Casework Manager:
The Correctional Casework Manager is responsible for providing counseling and resource information to offenders at an adult correctional facility. Purpose of work is to ensure that the Departments policies and established guidelines are met in providing the offenders proper counseling and supporting facility staff if needed. Incumbent is responsible for providing generalized instruction to subordinate staff as well as detailed instruction on specific cases. Incumbent provides recommendations concerning the offender's location, confinement, employment, parole opportunities, external contacts and most other aspects of institutional life.
Preferred Experience:
One year full time professional experience in corrections, criminology, parole / probation work, psychology, or social work required. Possession of a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university is required or five (5) years of full-time experience as a Correctional Case Worker 4/Correctional Counselor 4 (002DB4). Special Requirements: Must successfully complete the Correctional Training Academy and all required training.
Counsels offenders assigned to the unit.
Maintains a positive and effective relationship with the Supervisor of Classification, custody staff, other department heads, and specialists within the correctional institution.
Acts as a resource person to offenders assigned to the unit.
Acts as a liaison between prospective employers, courts, community and governmental agencies for the
purposes of job development and release adjustment.
5. Trains and supervises correctional caseworkers in correctional casework matters within the assigned unit.
Assists in the supervision of security, sanitation, correctional programs, training of staff, general management of the housing units, ensuring that medical, dental, psychological, and psychiatric needs of the offenders assigned to the unit are met.
Assists in the formulating, interpreting, and disseminating policies and procedures that relate to the unit.
Adheres to the re-entry policy to ensure all quality assurance job tasks are completed in a timely manner.
Performs other duties as assigned.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
